School Leaders Put End To Tradition Of Raffling Off AR-15 Rifle
A tradition of raffling off an AR-15 Rifle as part of a school fundraiser has been shot down. The Lee County High School fundraiser is meant to benefit the Lee High School Student Government Association and has been held for the last ten years. This year, instead of the AR-15 rifle being raffled off school officials are giving a gift card that can be used to purchase anything from a local sporting good store. This years change comes about after the recent Florida School shootings where 17 people were gunned down.
