Car Crashes into School Bus in Hawkins County

A car struck a school bus from behind in Hawkins County on Thursday morning. Rogersville Police say the crash happened around 8:30 am at the intersection of Highway 11W and Park Boulevard. A 2018 Subaru Outback, driven Catherine Groff, 76, struck the bus from behind at a red light. There were 21 students on the bus and two were reported to have minor injuries. Groff was transported to the Holston Valley Medical Center fro treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
