Police Identify Body Found in Watauga River

Police say they have positively identified a man whose body was found last week in the Watauga River. He has identity has been revealed as Jacob Hampton of Elizabethton. Hampton has been reported missing for over a month now. Police are looking for tips in the case and ask anyone with information to contact Elizabethton Police or the Carter County Sheriff’s office.
