“Liberty From God” Bill Gaining Momentum
A resolution that would change the Tennessee Constitution to say that God is the source of liberty for the state’s citizens is gaining momentum. Lasy year the House passsed the measure. This week it passed another mile stone by clearing the judiciary committee. Next it goes before a full senate vote/ Rep. Micah Van Huss of Jonesbrough is one of the main sponsors of the resolution. Ammending the Tennessee constitution is a lengthy process. Proposed changes must pass by a majority during one general assembly and then by two-thirds in the next and final approval must come from voters in a gubernatorial election year.
