Sullivan DA Wants Teen Accused Of Murder, Tried As Adult

Sullivan County’s lead prosecutor has filed a motion to try a teen accused of murder as an adult. District Attorney General Barry Staubus is asking that 16 year old William Newkirk be tried as an adult in connection with the shooting death of 20 year old Brett Rodgers at Kingsport’s Hog Wild Saloon in March.
