Carter County Sheriff’s Warn of Counterfeit Money in the Region
In a release from the Carter County Sheriff’s Office they warn of counterfeit money being found in the region. Detectives report at least five seperate occasions where the fake money has been used to make a purchase. Police believe several people may be involved and may not even been connected. In some cases it is easily identified by pink Mandarin writing on the bill. They also lack the watermarks of official U.S. Currency which can be seen when held up to a light.
