Johnson City’s Historic Langston School To Be Renovated For Cultural Arts Center
Commissioners in Johnson City have approved a two point three million dollar contract that will renovate and preserve one of the city’s most historic places. Langston School, the city’s first African American school will be renovated and transformed into a multi cultural arts and community center. Commissioners already approved just under two million dollars in city funds for the project. The remaining five hundred thousand dollars will be funded by Langston Education and Arts Development.
