Police Release Name Of Victim In Officer Involved Shooting
Bristol, Virginia Police have released the name of a man killed in an officer involved shooting Monday evening. Authorities say 71 year old Paul Meade was armed with a shotgun and was threatening to harm himself when police arrived at the residence on Hillside Avenue. Meade then pointed the gun at the two officers, who then returned fire, striking and killing Meade on the scene. The two officers were not injured and the investigation is now being handled by Virginia State Police.
