Greeneville Man Charged With Second Degree Murder Found Dead Days Before Scheduled Hearing

A Greeneville man charged with second degree murder of his wife in 2016 has been found dead in a home just days before a court hearing was to be held. An autopsy is being performed on 58 year old Bruce Bratcher to determine the cause of death. In 2016, Bratcher was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his wife, then turning the gun on himself. The suicide attempt was unsuccessful and Bratcher was charged with second degree murder and had a court date scheduled for Monday.
