Cops Detain Man…Discover Strong, Illegal Drugs And More Than Seven Thousand Dollars In Cash

A Bristol Virginia man is jailed after police stop him and discover in his possession a backpack full of strong, illegal drugs and more than seven thousand dollars in cash. Police arrested 20 year old Matthew Alvarado Smith after a call about someone trying to get into vehicles near a local hospital. Upon searching Smith, police discovered inside a backpack cocaine, heroin, prescription pills and 71 hundred dollars in cash. Smith is facing several charges and is also wanted in Sullivan and Carter Counties.
