New Science And Tech Center At Dobyns-Bennett On Target For Completion And Under Budget
A new Regional Science and Technology Center at Dobyns-Bennett High School is half way finished and is expected to be complete by May of next year and under budget. The triangular shaped building includes an outdoor classroom space for robotics and science classes as well as a mini amphitheater at a cost of 20 million dollars. Soil allowances for removal of rocks and other unknowns had a budget of just under 500 thousand dollars and so far just under two hundred thousand dollars has been used leaving a balance of 307 thousand dollars. The center is expected to be up and ready for the beginning of next school year.
