Driver Hit by Train in Big Stone Gap, VA

One person is in serious condition after a train collides with a truck near Big Stone Gap, Virginia.

According to the Big Stone Gap Fire Department, a delivery truck was struck by a Norfolk Southern Train Tuesday around 4:40 just inside the Lee County line off Highway 23.

The driver of the truck had to be cut out of his vehicle and was taken to the Holston Valley Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries. Virginia State Police are investigating the incident.
