Vintage Mustang Scam, Costs Two Hawkins County Residents Tens Of Thousands Of Dollars
Two Hawkins County men have been scammed in separate incidents of more than 40 thousand dollars after each tried to buy vintage mustang cars on line. The first victim paid fourteen thousand dollars via wire transfer to Family Auto Sales in Seattle, Washington for a vintage 1964 Mustang that was never delivered. In a similar case, a Mount Carmel man paid 29 thousand dollars for a 1967 Mustang on eBay Motors using the Buy It Now button. After wiring the money, the victim never heard from the seller.
