Bicyclist Hit, Injured by Bus in Wednesday Accident on Highway 421

A bicyclist is in the hospital after being hit by a bus on Highway 421 Wednesday afternoon.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Adam Delph, 45, of Bristol, TN was riding his bike on 421 and a bus driven by Lillian Cardwell, 70, of Bristol, VA was driving across from Emmett Way to Beidleman Road, when the bus crossed in front and hit Delph. 24 students were on the bus at the time of the incident, and Delph was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

Authorities say they are not filing charges against Cardwell.
