Interstate 81 Ramp Improvements Continue With Weekend Closures At Exit 19

Interstate 81 bridge work continues at Exit 19 in Abingdon, and this weekend work moves to the southbound ramp where accessibility from the Damascus side of the interstate will be closed. The ramp closure will be in effect from seven pm Friday until six am Tuesday. In addition, a lane closure on southbound I-81 will be in effect from seven pm Friday, till Monday at six am. The closures are part of the work to ensure safety while Hydrodemolition and bridge overlay takes place in the right hand lane at exit 19. Completion date for the project is set for early March of 2020.
