Senate Speaker: Sports betting in Tennessee could come after fall
Folks wanting to make wagers on sports in Tennessee could have a wait on their hands.
Senate Speaker Randy McNally said he would rather wait for betting parameters to be put in place when all nine members of a regulatory board have been selected. Gov. Bill Lee, who allowed the sports betting bill become law without signing it, has yet to make his three appointments.
Neighboring North Carolina is prepping sites across the state including Harrah’s Cherokee Casino for the new stream of tax revenue.
