Town of Abingdon served with civil suit from manager who resigned in April

Former Abingdon town manager Greg Kelly has filed a civil suit in US District Court against the town, contending they violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and refused to issue him a severance package following his resignation in April.

Court documents obtained by SuperTalk say Kelly was denied help from the town for his conditions including high blood pressure and depression. Kelly contends that he was subjected to profane and obscene messages from town leaders that contributed to a hostile work environment.
