CCSO Captures Fugitive from Texas Wanted for Alleged Child Sex Abuse

The Carter County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man wanted out of Texas for alleged child sexual abuse.

Earlier this week, authorities located and arrested Norman McKinney at an apartment in Elizabethton. McKinney had warrants out of Andrews City, Texas for felony sexual abuse of a child under 14. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice and was transported to the Carter County Jail.

He will be extradited back to Texas.
