Court documents: Man convicted of killing Greene County toddlers denied new trial
The Greene County, Tennessee man convicted in the brutal death of two toddlers had his request for a new trial denied, according to Criminal Court information.
A jury found Erick Jones, Jr. guilty last September in the 2014 murders of 13-month-old Kynsleigh Easterly and 2-month-old Trinity Tweed. A judge sentenced him to 50 years in prison. The toddlers’ mother Kendra Tweed pleaded guilty in May and received a 30-year prison sentence.
