Southwest Virginia Mental Health, Substance Use Prevention Coalition To Meet

A community based, local prevention coalition geared toward mental health and substance use prevention strategies is gathering Thursday evening in Wise County. The Concerned About Our Community Coalition is having a faith community dinner in hopes of strengthening partnerships to establish safe, healthy and drug free community. Chuck Slemp is Wise County’s Commonwealths Attorney.

The coalition serves Lee, Scott and Wise Counties along with the City of Norton. The meeting gets underway Thursday at 530 at the University Of Virginia’s College of Wise.
