Bristol, TN BOE Gives Approval to Hire Dr. Tom Sisk as next Director of Schools

The Bristol Tennessee Board of Education has officially found their next director of schools.

During Thursday’s special called meeting, the board approved an employment contract for candidate Dr. Tom Sisk to assume the director of schools role. Sisk has spent 32 years in public education, including serving as superintendent since 2012 at Limestone County Schools in Athens, Alabama.

He replaces Dr. Gary Lilly, who resigned in June to assume the role of director of schools in Collierville, TN. He will begin his employment in the district November 1st.
