Washington County, Tennessee Ranks Last In Tennessee For Adequate Prenatal Care

Washington County Tennessee ranks fifth among Tennessee’s 95 counties when it comes to overall child well being, despite ranking dead last for adequate prenatal care. Kids Count, The State of the Child in Tennessee Report shows Washington County ranks 95th when it comes to providing adequate prenatal care. The counties’ child poverty rate at just over 18 percent is one of the lowest in the Volunteer state. The report was prepared by the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth.
