Police: Johnson City man admits to setting rental home on fire

A Johnson City man is accused of deliberately setting his home on fire Sunday evening.

Police approached Richard Aldridge in the driveway where he said he had poured gasoline on a pile of clothes in the bedroom and the kitchen floor inside the dwelling located in the 2200 block of East 7th Avenue. Aldridge, 38, is charged with one count of arson and he will be arraigned Tuesday in Sessions Court.
