Local Homeless Church Making Plans For Extended Hours During Arctic Cold Snap

With frigid arctic temperatures in the forecast for Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning a local store front church that serves the needy in Kingsport is planning to remain open Tuesday night and will not be checking ID’s. Pastor Will Shewey with Shades of Grace United Methodist Church says his congregation is prepared for the situation.

(:10)…We have trained workers, we’ll hve like four persons from our congregation who are trained to be there and their awake at all times and oversee everything.

Shades of Grace is a six thousand square foot, store front church located on West Sullivan Street in Kingsport.
