Payment In Lieu Of Taxes Assisting With Industrial Recruitment In Washington County, Tennessee

Two grant opportunities in Washington County Tennessee are now available thanks to the use of Payment in lieu of Tax programs. Better known as PILOT. The program is used as an incentive to lure businesses to the area. Pilot Programs offsets new taxes based on improvements to real property and the addition of personal property. Both opportunities, one for a roadway extension from inside the Washington County Industrial Park and a second that could secure funding for a master plan and grading plans are made available by utilizing Payment In Lieu of Taxes and will ensure that job creation milestones for each project are met.
