Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Investigating house fire in Blountville

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning house fire in Blountville.

According to Captain Grew Crowe with the Sullivan County Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched to a structure fire on Buncombe Road just after midnight Thursday, and Crowe says when crews arrived, one occupant was already out of the house. That occupant was taken to the Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze in under 10 minutes and the scene was cleared after 90 minutes.
