Two charged in alleged multiple burglaries of 70-year old cancer patient’s home in Baileyton
Two people are facing several charges after police say they allegedly burglarized a home twice of a 70-year old cancer patient in Baileyton.
Baileyton Police and the Greene County Sheriff’s Department say they launched an investigation Monday December 9th after a homeowner told police his residence had been broken into on consecutive days and he found several items to be missing. Wednesday night just after 8:00 p.m, a citizen alerted police that suspects Chad Mitchell Jennings and Jessica Lynn Ricker were walking on Highway 11E near Publix after photos of the two were published on social media earlier this week who were reportedly connected to the incident.
The two were found in possession of stolen property from the residence including a handgun. The two were arrested and were transported to the Greene County Detention Center. Ricker and Jennings each face charges of aggravated burglary and theft over $2,500. Jennings faces additional charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Schedule II Drug (Methamphetamine). Both will be arraigned in Greene County General Sessions Court on Friday.
