Flu Taking It’s Toll On Area Hospitals

While hospital officials continue to try and contain this years outbreak of flu the illness is also having its affect on area hospitals. Ballad Health Care CEO, Allen Levine says his team is focused daily on directing resources where needed but hospitals are also constrained by the volume and impact the flu is having on the hospital’s staff, who are not entirely immune to the illness themselves. Levine, in a series of tweets on Thursday asked the pubic to help by being aware of the strain the flu is having on the healthcare system and to take all precautions to prevent the spread of the flu.
