Regional Fund To Support Businesses That Don’t Receive Federal Recovery Money

The Kingsport Chamber of Commerce and other chambers from northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia announce a new fund to support local businesses impacted by the COVID-19 crisis in our region. Grants are intended for local businesses involved in the arts, entertainment or recreation, accommodation and food services, retail trade and manufacturing. The amount given out will rely how much consumers and other businesses are willing to donate.Miles Burdine with the Kingsport Chamber says the regional fund will assist those businesses in the region that may fall through the cracks of government loans.
