Southwest Virginia Community Health Centers Receive Federal Funds For Testing Coronavirus

Several Community Health Centers in Southwest Virginia are receiving more than one and a half million dollars to expand coronavirus testing. The federal funds will also increase personal protective equipment for the region. The Clinch River Health Services in Dungannon, the Bland County Medical Clinic, St. Charles Health Council in Jonesville and Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems in Saltville will share the funds to conduct the testing. Currently, Virginia is in the bottom ten states for testing of the disease.
