Governor Northam Pledges To Stand With African American Population

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam took a moment on Tuesday before his bi weekly COVID 19 press conference to tell the African American community he pledges his support for their struggles. Northam says he cannot know how it feels to be an African American or know the depth of their pain. But pledge to support them in their cause.The Governor also says he plans to listen and learn through the use of town hall meetings, he will also be meeting soon with the Virginia Chiefs of Police, will work to establish a statewide day of prayer and address the racial inequities the African American population currently faces.
