Eight City of Kingsport employees test positive for COVID-19, two cases remain active

City of Kingsport officials say a total of eight employees have tested positive for COVID-19.

A spokesperson provided us an update on Tuesday morning, stating that of the eight cases, just two cases remain active. The first positive case was confirmed on June 30th, and since then, the building and areas where the employees worked have been deep cleaned.

Any of the employees that came into contact with the positive cases are either currently in quarantine or have returned to work.
