UPDATE: NCAA approves waiver for Gate City’s Mac McClung
Former Gate City standout Mac McClung announced Friday that the NCAA had approved his waiver to play at Texas Tech in the upcoming 2021 season following his transfer earlier this year.

McClung announced in May that he was leaving the Big East and Georgetown for the Lubbock, Texas program that made it to the Final Four title game in 2019.
McClung will wear #0 for the Red Raiders and his first taste of Big 12 basketball will come Dec. 17 against perennial power Kansas.
