Kingsport Senior Center to temporarily close starting Dec. 7 for deep cleaning and evaluation of COVID-19 in community

The Kingsport Senior Center is temporarily closing beginning Monday, including all branch sites.

City officials said Friday the closures were so that the facilities can be deep cleaned and give time to evaluate the spread of COVID-19 in the Kingsport community, with a decision on whether to reopening possibly coming by the end of this week.

Individuals that participate in congregate meals can find instructions on how to receive meals while the center is closed by visiting the City of Kingsport website or calling 423-392-8400.
