NEW: Fall Branch woman indicted in June shooting in Scott County, VA

A Fall Branch woman has been indicted for a fatal shooting of a man in Scott County, VA in June.

Court filings in Scott County Circuit Court show Tamara Wolford was arrested over the weekend following a direct indictment on a charge of second degree murder. Scott County Sheriff Jeff Edds says the incident happened on June 16th at a home on Twin Spring Rd. in Nickelsville, where Jared Dockery, 32, reportedly attempted to force his way into a home occupied by Wolford and two small children.

Police say Dockery was shot and killed upon entry. Wolford is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 7.
