UPDATE: Vaccine distribution at Bristol Dragway halted Thursday due to demand
Officials with the Sullivan County Regional Health Department closed down a service line at Bristol Dragway at noon Thursday as hundreds were turned away due to exhausted COVID vaccine supplies.
The agency noted that the dragway event would resume at 9 a.m. Friday based on vaccine availability.
Health officials also announced that all appointments for vaccinations being administered at the Kingsport Civic Auditorium for the week of January 11 have been filled.
It’s recommended that those interested in making an appointment in Kingsport for the week of January 18 begin calling next week at (423) 279-2777.
