Holston Valley Selected As Only Hospital In Country To Transmit Live Cases To International Conference

Kingsport’s Holston Valley Medical Center, a part of the Ballad Health Care system is further cementing its status as a staple on the international vascular stage as this year’s Leipzig Germany, International Course has once again put the hospital front and center on the world stage of health. Holston Valley, is the only hospital in the United States selected as a demonstration site for this years conference which is being held virtually because of the pandemic. Dr. Chris Metzger, medical director at Holston Valley’s diagnostic catherization and interventional labs transmitted a vascular case live, with full patient consent from the cath lab at Holston Valley to Leipzig,Germany on Wednesday to a world audience where some of the best and brightest minds in the world gather together and share their expertise in vascular procedures.
