TDS: 2020 was record breaking year for organ, tissue donations in Tennessee

The COVID-19 pandemic did not stop Tennesseans from donating organs and tissue last year.

In 2020, Tennessee Donor Services announced that the state set a record for most donations in one year, as there were 390 organ donors and 2,435 tissue donors. The record donation turnout yielded over 1,100 organ transplants according to TDS.
