Greene County man charged with kidnapping

A Greene County, Tennessee woman says she was taken and held captive for two days by a suspect who faces multiple charges.

Investigators said Charles Arrington, Jr., 31, broke the victim’s cellphone and then used force to keep her from responding to deputies who came to his Tarlton Circle home after a request for a welfare check.

The victim also said she was physically assaulted during her captivity and Arrington held her at gunpoint several times.

Court records show Arrington is charged with aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, and several other felonies. He is scheduled for arraignment on Feb. 12.
