VSP: Two fatal accidents under investigation in Southwest Virginia

A pair of fatal crashes are under investigation following wrecks in separate Southwest Virginia counties on Sunday.

One accident occurred just after 9 a.m in Smyth County where a pickup truck traveling west on Route 672 ran off the road and overturned into the creek. The male driver in that crash died at the scene. The second wreck occurred just before 6 p.m in Washington County where a male was outside of his stopped truck along Route 11 when he was reportedly struck and killed by an SUV.

No further information on either crash is currently available.
