UPDATE: Review of surveillance footage debunks abduction attempt in Bristol, Virginia
A review of video surveillance footage has caused Bristol Virginia police to change reports of a possible abduction attempt reported by a juvenile earlier this week.
A report issued by law enforcement late Friday said a school bus driver came forward and shared captured video of the events which showed a man getting out of an SUV near Euclid Avenue at Lee Highway and Moore Street then walking on the same street as the juvenile.
The investigation concluded that the man was not attempting to take the girl or look in her direction. The child reportedly became frightened and could be seen running from the area.
The report noted that the department has concluded its review into this incident.
