Paving to impact State Route 37 in Carter County this month

Spring is the start of paving season for transportation districts and a major project in Carter County is underway.

A portion of State Route 37 / US 19 E is expected to be closed down along with Tiger Creek Road due to the resurfacing that is expected to impact traffic flow for the remainder of the month, depending on the weather.

TDOT says the project, located 8 miles outside of Hampton, will require one southbound lane to be shut down and detour signage will be in place to direct drivers.
