Senior tourism official selected as newest member of Bristol Virginia City Council

Bristol Virginia City Council has sworn in Becky Nave to be its newest member.
Nave, 52, was one of the two final candidates vetted by board members and then interviewed during a closed session—the other was Jacob Holmes, a current staff member for Delegate Israel O’Quinn.
He was one of the eight people who submitted their resumes for consideration for the council post left vacant by the resignation of Kevin Mumpower who cited work obligations as the reason for leaving after serving five years.
Nave is currently a senior developer with the Virginia Tourism Corporation and a member of the Blue Ridge Parkway Board of Directors.
