Virginia Lawmakers Want To Regulate Delta Eight, Hemp Product

Virginia lawmakers are attempting to snuff out a chemical compound known as Delta 8. The chemical, occurs naturally in small amounts in hemp, which CDB is taken from and is legal federally. However, lawmakers say Delta 8 which is sold in gas stations and specialty stores due to loopholes in the law want to prohibit the sale of the product, because of a lack of regulation and enforcement. Some of the products are also synthetically made and can be misleading as to its effects. A bill being considered would require Delta 8 products to be properly, tested, labeled and regulated by the state.
