Tennessee’s Abortion Trigger Law Set To Go Into Effect Next Month
Tennessee’s abortion law referred to as the Trigger Law goes into effect one month from this week. Three years ago, Tennessee lawmakers passed the Tennessee Human Life Protection Act trigger law to almost entirely ban abortions in the state if the Supreme Court ever overturned Roe V Wade, which it did this summer. Tennessee’s abortion trigger law contains no exceptions for rape or incest, and only an exception to protect the life of the mother.
