Former Bristol Elementary Principal To Receive Back Pay After Suspension Dismissed

A former elementary school principal will receive up to one hundred thousand dollars in back pay after he was suspended without pay when he was accused of attempting to commit child abuse and attempt to commit child neglect…those charges were dismissed. And now former Holston View Principal Jerry Poteat, who is no longer employed by the Bristol Tennessee School Board will receive an immediate payment of 40 thousand dollars, with the potential of receiving another 60 thousand if certain conditions are met dealing with his teaching license.
