Johnson City man facing child pornography remains in custody after “very real threat” of self harm
A Johnson City man facing child pornography charges will remain in custody after a judge says there’s a very real threat of self harm. Nathan Alexander Kirkland is charged with two counts of knowingly receiving and possessing child pornography.
Federal agents raided Kirkland’s home earlier this month on Wilson Avenue. They seized numerous computers and a rifle. A magistrate judge says he was not willing to risk a very real threat that Kirkland would harm himself. Kirkland’s arraignment is June 14.
