Two Arrested After 100 Mile Per Hour…Multi-Jurisdictional Pursuit

A DUI suspect is in jail after leading law enforcement authorities from several jurisdictions on a one hundred mile per hour chase from Surgoinsville to Kingsport. Mark Anthony Bishop is charged with third offense DUI, driving on a revoked license sixth offense and leaving the scene of an accident after he hit an elderly couple’s vehicle during the pursuit that finally was halted at Netherland Inn Road due to safety concerns. A short time later, Bishop and a passenger, Lisa Rose Reynolds were both arrested on Ramey Town Road in Allandale near Kingsport. Arraignments for both will be held Monday in Hawkins County Court.
