Operation Dry Water Underway In Area Waterways

In Virginia, alcohol is the leading cause of recreational boating accidents and now the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is cracking down with Operation Dry Water. Citizens using the areas waterways this Fourth of July holiday will see more officers out and can expect to see more checkpoints on waterways as well. A person operating a boat with a blood alcohol level of zero point zero eight is considered to be boating under the influence.
