Kingsport BMA Approves Rezoning Land Near Busy Intersection

Kingsport leaders have rezoned a controversial parcel of property along a busy Model City intersection that officials hope will bring future commercial development to the location. Council voted four to one to rezone the land at the corner of Eastman Road and Fort Henry Drive. By rezoning, council members hope to lure new commercial development in the proposed rezoning area including a pharmacy and restaurant.
